Keeply for Android
Privacy Policy
Keeply stores your profile, inventory, lists, and photos on your device. It does not create an account or upload that content to Keeply servers. Google ML Kit components do process technical metrics for diagnostics and improvement.
1. Controller and scope
This policy applies to the Keeply mobile app, published by GaboRohez (“Keeply,” “we,” or “the developer”). It explains how Android version 1.0 accesses, uses, retains, and, where applicable, transmits information.
Keeply is a personal inventory app for tracking household items, including medicines. It is not a cloud service and does not require an account.
2. Information used by the app
Information you provide that remains local
- Optional profile: name, age, blood type, phone, email, and notes, which may include allergies or other health information you choose to record.
- Inventory: item name, category, brand, form, unit, quantities, minimum levels, expiration date, barcode, location, notes, and photos.
- Lists and history: shopping lists, checked items, and stock movements.
- Preferences: custom categories, filters, notification settings, and the local record of policy acceptance.
Technical data processed by Google ML Kit
The ML Kit SDKs included in the app may collect device and app information, per-installation identifiers, performance metrics, feature configuration, input and output sizes, versions, events, and error codes. These are used for diagnostics, security, usage measurement, maintenance, and SDK improvement.
3. How information is used
- Display, organize, and update your inventory and shopping lists.
- Calculate stock summaries and history.
- Schedule local expiration, low-stock, and out-of-stock alerts when enabled.
- Take or select photos and analyze labels, text, and barcodes on device.
- Remember preferences and the accepted policy version.
We do not use your data for advertising, profile sales, or automated decisions with legal effects.
4. Third-party processing and transfers
Photo content, recognized text, and barcode results are processed on device through ML Kit; Google states that this content and these results are not sent to its servers.
ML Kit SDKs may send Google the technical metrics described in section 2. Google acts as a technology provider and states that this data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and is not transferred to third parties. See the ML Kit data disclosure and terms and privacy.
Keeply does not include advertising, first-party analytics, social networks, cloud storage, or data sales in this version.
5. Device permissions and features
| Access | Purpose | Control |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | Take product photos and scan barcodes. | You can deny or revoke it in Android Settings. |
| File/photo picker | Select a specific image for a product. | Access is limited to the selected file; the app does not request general gallery access. |
| Notifications | Show local reminders you configure. | Optional and can be disabled in Keeply or Android. |
Denying access may disable only the feature that depends on it.
6. How information is protected
Local data is stored in Keeply's private Android app space. System backup is disabled for the app. Keeply does not add its own encryption to the database or photos; available protection also depends on your device security, screen lock, and encryption settings.
Google documents that ML Kit technical metrics are transmitted through HTTPS. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
7. Retention and deletion
Local information remains on your device until you:
- delete the corresponding item inside Keeply, where that option is available;
- clear Keeply's data from Android Settings; or
- uninstall the app.
Keeply does not keep a copy on its own servers, so it cannot remotely recover or delete local content. Technical metrics processed by Google are subject to Google's retention practices.
8. Children
Keeply is intended for people aged 18 or older and is not designed or directed specifically to children under 13. A minor should only use the app with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when features, SDKs, or applicable obligations change. The current date and version will be posted here. If a change materially affects in-app processing, Keeply may ask you to read and accept the updated version before continuing.
10. Privacy contact
For questions, corrections, or concerns about this policy, use the public form in Keeply's legal repository. Do not include medical information, passwords, or other sensitive data in a public request.
